$10 Tuesday on a Wednesday!?

As weather steps on our $10 Tuesday YET AGAIN! Instead of pushing it out yet another week we decided to take advantage of the forecast for Wednesday August 22nd and run our $10 Tuesday format on Wednesday! Come one come all, street cars, motor cycles, race cars, whatever else you’ve got that you want to send down the track, $10 Tuesday, on a Wednesday is for you!  The gate officially opens at 5pm but we’ll be out there earlier than that getting things setup, for those guys with race cars looking to test before this weekend’s racing festivities, we suggest you get here as early as possible to take full advantage of the pristine race surface before the hard tire cars have their way with it.

$10 at the gate for everyone except kids 12 & under are free! Tech cards available at the tech inspection area for FREE to get your hot rod down the track!  VP racing fuels available as well as nitrous refills and of course Mrs Sherry will have the burger stand going strong so show up hungry!

Friday August 17th – With the sunshine we’ve got on the track right now and the promising forecast for the afternoon/evening, it looks like we might actually get a Friday Frenzy in tonight! Gates open at 5pm, track hot by 6pm and we keep it hot til 11pm, $15 at the gate for crew/spectators, $25 for drivers, kids 12 & under free!

Saturday August 18th – “Newbie Night” presented by the North Florida Drift Federation, come watch (or participate!) in some drifting action through our pit area Saturday afternoon and into the evening.  If you’ve ever wanted to see what it’s like to drift or work with some experienced guys to show you the ropes with your car and what you need to do, tonight is your night! Gates open at 3pm and we run to 9pm, Crew/Spectators are $10 at the gate, $40 if you’re planning on whipping your hot rod around the drift course, kids 12 & under free!

Congrats to our new points leaders!

NHRA Summit ET Series

A seven race points series raced on the 2nd weekend of the month at Emerald Coast starting in April and ending in October.  Drivers will be competing for cash payouts on race day and awarded points which count towards a track championship.  Although strongly encouraged, becoming an NHRA member is not a prerequisite to enter the race or our points series.

All NHRA Summit Racing series classes will utilize a .500 full tree. The bye will be determined by best reaction time during time trials or the elimination round prior and will carry over. Buybacks will be “first or” second round buyback and will be reentered into eliminations.

Emerald Coast NHRA Team Code E and EE

10 points will be assessed for breaking the beams in the first round of eliminations and every round win, 5 bonus points assessed to winner, 3 bonus points assessed to runner up, 1 bonus point assessed to semi-finalists.

In order to represent the Emerald Coast Dragway at the Division 2 finals, drivers must participate in three of the six series races between April and September as season points and  team rosters must be submitted no later than the Monday prior to the finals in the first week of October. Entrants must also have a current NHRA membership and Competition Number prior to entry to the event.

Ten Dollar Tuesday returns Tuesday August 14th!  $10 gets you in the gate, if you want to go down the track stop by the tech shack to fill out a free tech card and make as many laps as you want! Aimed at our street car crowd but race cars are welcome too.  Street cars won’t get the cone that pushes them out of the groove on Ten Dollar Tuesdays, track will be kept clean and safe but glue will be kept to a minimum.  Bring your hot rod out, pop the hood, show it off, turn that stereo up, make as many laps as you want… tonight is your night!  Looking at potentially running another Tuesday on the 28th, attendance on the 14th will dictate that… so come on out and show your support!
