Track Info

Emerald Coast Dragway is an NHRA sanctioned 1/8 mile drag strip located just along I-10 in Holt, Florida.  The track was originally built in 1997 by Chip Kooser and opened for business in 1998. It’s changed hands a few times since then and was eventually closed for a few years until Ozzy and Maria Moya purchased the property in 2016 and brought it back to life.  The track is currently managed by Ryan Milliken and his team at Race ECD, LLC whom have recently partnered up with the Moya’s and look forward to many great years of racing to come.

The 37 acre facility includes a racing surface that is 50′ wide, with solid poured concrete walls, 1250′ of shut down to the first turn off with an additional 400′ of asphalt after the turnoff before you get to the sand trap.  The start line surface is very well cared after concrete with a transition to asphalt at about 200′ that was professionally ground smooth in January 2018.  The timing system is porta-tree with a wireless time slip system.  We take great pride in racer safety, by partnering with the Holt, Harold and Baker volunteer fire departments we are able to have a fire truck with highly qualified personnel on site every time we are operating. You might also notice the red stripes on the track walls every 150 feet, on the other side of those stripes hanging on the wall is a freshly charged fire extinguisher, to accompany the two on the starting line and of course complimenting the equipment on board the departments fire truck, you can race confidently at ECD, knowing that we’ve got your back.
